LRT Phase I Project Has Reached 43.14 Percent

Light Rail Transit (LRT) Construction Phase I (Kelapa Gading-Velodrome Rawamangun) has touched 43.14 percent per October 31, 2017. It will be used to support Asian Games XVIII.

Rp 1.8 trillion or 26 percent has been absorbed from total of LRT budget by Rp 6.8 trillion

PT. Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Secretary, Erry Gunari Perkasa said, 990 box girders and 79 spans have been installed by October 31. Besides, there also other construction, such as Jakarta LRT operator office, operation control center, power house, bogie workshop or train wheels, depot's ramp construction, railway mobilization to flyovers, and so on.

"Rp 1.8 trillion or 26 percent has been absorbed from total of LRT budget by Rp 6.8 trillion," he stated, Thursday (11/16).

LRT Phase 1 Construction Reaches 37 Percent

He explained 16 cars will be shipped in April 2018 for LRT Phase I operational.

"We target to start the installation of a 5.8-kilometer rail by the end of this year," he expressed.

He explained it will go through six stations; Depo Pegangsaan Dua Station, Station in front of Kelapa Gading Mall, Jl. Boulevard Raya Kelapa Gading, Jl. Kayu Putih Raya (Pulomas), Jl. Kayu Putih Raya (Equestrian), and station in front of Velodrome Rawamangun Sport Venue.

"We're optimistic to finish it on time," he closed.
